Other Communities

(Communities other than BC / MBC / SC / ST) Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with an aggregate of atleast 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry.

Backward Class Community of Tamil Nadu

Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with an aggregate of atleast 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. The candidate should produce the Community Certificate duly signed by the Tahsildar.

Most Backward Class Community of Tamil Nadu

Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with an aggregate of atleast 40% marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. The candidate should produce the Community Certificate duly signed by the Tahsildar.

SC/ST Candidates of Tamil Nadu

Mere pass in 12th standard or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. The Candidate should produce the Community Certificate duly signed by the Tahsildar.

Note

Candidates from other states irrespective of their community are considered as OC (Other Community)

Other Communities

(Communities other than BC / MBC / SC / ST) Pass in 3 year Diploma examination conducted by the State Board of Technical Education of respective states in the relevant subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in the final year examination. Pass in any recognized bachelor's degree in Science of minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics as a subject

Backward Class Community of Tamil Nadu

An aggregate of 45% marks in the final year diploma examination / Final year B.Sc.degree course.

Most Backward Class Community of Tamil Nadu

An aggregate of 40% marks in the final year diploma examination / final year B.Sc.degree course.

SC/ST Candidates of Tamil Nadu

Mere pass is enough in Diploma Course / B.Sc. Degree course.

• A pass in any Degree with 10+2+3/4 years pattern (or)
• A pass in any degree with 10+3 (Diploma) +3 year pattern

Candidates who have already passed the above qualifying degree course and those who have appeared for the final semester / year examination of the said qualifying degree course during April / May 2008 may apply for MBA/MCA/ Common Entrance Test, for admission to M.B.A. degree.

• A pass in any Degree with 10+2+3/4 years pattern with Mathematics* at +2 level or with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level (or)
• A pass in any degree with 10 +3 (Diploma) +3 years pattern with Mathematics at Diploma level or Mathematics / Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.

The prescribed application form can be obtained from the College Administrative Office by paying Rs. 200/- in person or by Bank Demand Draft drawn in favour of Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore - 641 048.

Filled in Application forms shall be submitted with photo copies of all the certificates of the qualifying examination.

I) The Candidates seeking admission to I Year BE / B.Tech, & Lateral Entry courses are required to submit the following certificates:

• Statement of marks of the qualifying examinations (original and 3 photo copies)
• Transfer Certificate - original and 3 photo copies
• Conduct Certificate - original and 3 attested photo copies
• Community Certificate - original and 3 attested photo copies
• Migration Certificate - original and 3 attested photo copies for the candidates passed other than HSC of Tamil Nadu.
• Diploma Mark statements - original and 3 attested photo copies ( for Lateral Entry Only)
• SSLC Mark Statement - original and 3 attested photo copies ( for Lateral Entry Only)
• Passport size Photograph - 4 Nos.

II) The Candidates Seeking admission to the MBA/MCA degree courses are required to submit the following certificates:

• Transfer Certificate - original and 3 attested photo copies.
• Provisional / Degree Certificate - original and 3 attested photo copies.
• UG Mark Statements - original and 3 attested photo copies.
• TANCET / CET score card - original and 3 attested photo copies.
• Conduct Certificate - original and 3 attested photo copies.
• Community Certificate - original and 3 attested photo copies.
• Migration Certificate - original and 3 attested photo copies for the candidates passed other than HSC of Tamil Nadu.
• Passport size Photograph - 4 Nos.

III) The Candidates seeking admission under NRI Quota are required to submit the following certificates:

Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. (Candidates studying in India or abroad obtaining less than 55% marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry may seek admission under NRI category).

NRI financially supporting the candidates must be a blood relation such as his / her Father, Mother, Sister, Brother, Uncle (Father's brother or Mother's brother) & Aunt (Mother's sister or Father's sister) only, residing abroad. For obtaining Eligibility Certificate, the candidate should furnish the photo copies of the following documents to Anna University:

• Sponsorship Letter in original.
• Relationship certificate in original (To be obtained from the Tahsildar).
• Employer Letter (in original).
• Statement of Bank A/C of sponsor with NRI A/C.No.
• NRI status certificate of the financial supporter issued by the Embassy of respective country under their seal in original.
• Nativity Certificate of the financial supporter (To be issued by the Tahsildar).
• Copy of Valid Indian Passport of Sponsor.
• DD for $1000 in favour of Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology (NRI Development Fee) Dollar Demand Draft Only.

Equivalency Certificate issued by the DOTE ( Directorate Of Technical Education), Chennai - 25 should be provided for the students who studied HSC (or) Equivalent in abroad
