Professional Society
Computer Society of India (CSI)
The seed for the Computer Society of India (CSI) was first sown in the year 1965 with a handful of IT enthusiasts who were a computer user group and felt the need to organize their activities. They also wanted to share their knowledge and an exchange idea on what they felt was a fast emerging sector. Today the CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science & IT.
The CSI Students chapter at Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology was started during 2011.Through CSI, various activities like workshops, seminars, guest lectures, invited talks and competitions are organized periodically. The details of various activities conducted through CSI are given below.

ICTACT-EMC² Academic Alliance
Cloud empowers enterprises to improve their IT responsiveness, resource utilization and provides the much-needed scalability and agility for new business creation. Unlike traditional solid systems, Cloud-based infrastructure leverages economic flexibility, and eliminates complexity which is a roadblock to business value realization. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is a form of cloud computing that provides virtualized computing resources over the Internet. IaaS is one of three main categories of cloud computing services.
Objectives
The Cloud IaaS model, a third-party provider hosts hardware, software, servers, storage and other infrastructure components on behalf of its users. IaaS providers also host users' applications and handle tasks including system maintenance, backup and resiliency planning.
Description of the Best Practice
If a business is developing a new software product, it might be more cost-effective to host and test the application through an IaaS provider. Once the new software is tested and refined, it can be removed from the IaaS environment for a more traditional in-house deployment or to save money or free the resources for other projects. IaaS providers own the infrastructure, systems management and monitoring may become more difficult for users. Also, if an IaaS provider experiences downtime, users' workloads may be affected.
The Cloud IaaS platforms offer highly scalable resources that can be adjusted on-demand. This makes IaaS well-suited for workloads that are temporary, experimental or change unexpectedly. IaaS environments include the automation of administrative tasks, dynamic scaling, desktop virtualization and policy-based services.

Dr. N.G.P. IT has always excelled in producing quality engineers with outstanding results. The infrastructure is great and provides an excellent atmosphere along with modern facilities which promote great learning environment and flexible schedules that suit to meet the needs of a student. My college has fulfilled all my requirements and helped me to groom and evolve as a professional. The faculty is a blend of experience and wisdom with energy and enthusiasm. Choosing Dr.N.G.P. IT proved to be an excellent decision because it became a catalyst for me to study in-depth about my passion and get acquainted with it. Joining this institution and studying civil engineering has not only helped me to get my desirable career but has also enabled me to stay updated with the latest, and well equipped to face the real world competition.
Ms.P.Sakthi Sanjana Batch: 2015-2019

DR.NGPIT has been nothing less than what I had hoped for. Supportive faculty, beautiful campus, quality education, real world experiences, and amazing friends. It's everything one needs from a college, and a network developed for life. The growth I have seen in myself due to NGP, is invaluable. It has taught me things far beyond bookish knowledge and helped me broaden my horizons. Not only do they conduct various technical quizzes and events, but also many nontechnical events as well, to test the all round development of the students. Students are encouraged to take initiatives and develop leadership skills, so that they can cope with the world outside the campus. The classes are very interactive and faculties ensure that every student understands what is being taught before proceeding. Throughout my 4 years of engineering at 'DR.NGPT ', I had countless opportunities to develop analytical skills, leadership and proactive thinking through various programs and events. Big thanks to all my faculty members and friends for this amazing journey at DR.NGPIT
Ms.D.Arunima Batch: 2015-2019

Hi. I am V. Sahana Sree from Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology is one of the best colleges in Coimbatore providing excellent education for the students to make them as a skilled and efficient engineers.
Since I was very much interested to know about the technologies involved in the construction industry and to become an entrepreneur in the field of construction, I selected Civil Engineering. But then I didn't have an idea of which college to choose like I had in selecting my course. So, I was referred to this college by one of my relatives. Then, I visited the college once before joining . I was very much impressed with their infrastructure, learning environment and had all the facilities required for the students. And I decided to join in this college with the hope that it will be a right path to reach my destination.
I would say that my college days has given me many precious moments to be treasured in my life. My journey in this college wouldn't be possible without the support and encouragement of my teachers. Apart from academics, my department always takes an extra effort by providing us opportunities like software training, Industrial visits, In-plant training, mini projects, internships, etc. to develop our skills required to match the needs of industry. They also conducted many seminars, guest-lectures and conferences to gain knowledge on all the aspects and recent trends of Civil Engineering. All these made my learning experience very interesting and helped me to expose the best out of me. They also provided us with ample of job opportunities from many reputed companies like SMEC, Kef Kattera, Trikaal, CAD Technologies, etc. and I got placed as a Detailing Engineer in Trikaal Tech Enterprises Pvt Ltd.
After 4 years of college, it makes me feel that I have selected a right college and I am elated for being a part of it. I also thank for giving me an opportunity to share my views.
Ms.V. Sahana Sree Batch: 2015-2019

Being a part of Dr. N. G. P. Institute of Technology has always been a fascinating experience. Enthusiastic faculty members, supportive seniors and friends, encouraging management, all together enriched my journey in this institute. The entire ambiance makes it convenient for any student to inculcate the positive spirit to stand out amongst the most talented and hard-working engineers. In addition to professional training, they also serve as a platform to exhibit talent in sports and other extra curricular activities, which helps in an overall development of a student. The amount of growth I have seen in myself at the end is inestimable. Without any ambiguity, as a result of everything I mentioned above, I have been able to renovate myself into a more confident individual.
R. Manjusha Batch: 2012-2016

It's great honor for me to be a part of Dr. N.G.P. IT family to learn, excel and put into practice. The college has given me the guidance to follow the right path in my career by providing me with excellent internship opportunities.
Amir RasulMustafha. S Batch: 2011 - 2015

Learning starts with experiments. N. G. P.IT was a platform to do experiments with myself. The invigorating principal, HOD and staffs have always been there with me as my support for all experiments on my talents. ICTACT, NI and of course Tech fest was few which was a mirror to show what is with me. N. G. P.IT for me is a great place of opportunity provider if we hunt for it. A place to grow! A place to learn!
S.Nagavenkateswari

Dr.N.G.P. IT is one of the very few institutions which offer's quality education, packaged with the right mix of experienced faculty, inculcating the need for overall personality development and providing the required industrial exposure among the aspiring young minds, thereby moulding them to face the challenges of the outside world. Dr.N.G.P. IT has definitely helped me explore my potential and had given me a platform to exhibit the same and had been instrumental in my successful career."
T.Parthasarathy Batch: 2011-2015

For me, studying at Dr.NGP IT turned out to be an immense treasure of experience and knowledge. My college days are the best part of my life. Doing B.E-ECE gave me a deep insight in the subjects, which is now being proved fruitful in my career. My department encouraged me to explore my talent and potential by providing an exceptional integrated learning environment.
