Controller of Examinations

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Office of the Controller of Examinations are:

• Preparing the Academic Calendar at the beginning of every semester.
• Scheduling the Internal Tests during a semester.
• Identifying and appointing faculty members with specified experience and expertise from other reputed institutions for question paper setting and scrutinizing.
• Conducting end semester Practical Examinations.
• Scheduling and conducting end semester Theory Examinations.
• Arranging Central Valuation for evaluating end semester answer scripts.
• Processing the Continuous Internal Assessment Marks, End Semester Marks and preparing the results.
• Scheduling and conducting the Result Passing Board (RPB) to present the results to the board for approval.
• Publishing approved results in time, after including the suggestion by RPB, if any.
• Preparing and issuing Grade Sheets and Consolidated Statement of Grades to the candidates.
• Recommending the qualified final year students to Anna University for the issuance of Provisional Certificate and for the award of the degree in the respective disciplines.
• Issuing Transcripts and verifying the genuineness of the Grade Sheets and other related Certificates issued by the College.
