About

A strong and excellent academic developmental cell is established in Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology in the year 1997, the academic developmental cell shall be responsible for regulating all the academic activities in the college to establish and maintain the academic integrity and curriculum coherence of all programs. It upholds the academic standards of the institution by smooth and uniform conduction of the academics throughout the institute.

Objective

The objective of the academic developmental cell is to be responsible for all the academic affairs that take place in the college curriculum and to convert the plans to a goal-oriented time-bound action plan.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • 1. Formulate and draft policies for the smooth conduct of regular academics in the college like
  • Enrolment of students into various subjects with respect to the Anna University curriculum,
  • Academic calendar preparation for the smooth conduct of the semesters as scheduled.
  • Evaluation procedure for Teaching & Learning Process.
  • Organization of Internal assessments periodically.
  • Internal Mark entries in the Anna University web portal.
  • Conduct of university laboratory & theory examinations.
  • 2. Monitors and ensures the proper completion of syllabus inline with the anna university academic calendar for all the programs.
  • 3. Maintains uniformity in scheduling & implementing various activities like class tests, internal tests, project reviews, laboratory examinations, and university examinations.
  • 4. Creating awareness among the students regarding the rules and regulations for attending the internal and university examinations.
  • 5. ADC reviews the student's regular attendance and their performance in the examinations periodically.
  • 6. The Cell ensures strictly that no malpractices happen during the examinations.
  • 7. Approves the question paper setters for the examinations and ensure a qualitative question papers for the class tests and internal examinations.
  • 8. Periodically collects the feedback from the students regarding the progress in academics for the betterment of end semester results.
  • 9. Takes care of declaration of end semester results and performs an analysis of the performance of the student's outcome in the university examinations.
  • 10. It fosters new ideas for the betterment and improvement in the end semester results.
