Literary and Debating Club of Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology was established in the year 2013 and it was inaugurated by Dr.C.Kailasam Director-Science & Humanities.

About the club

The Literary & Debating club was established in the year 2013 and it functions with the purpose of promoting sociability, communal activity and building friendly companionship.

Goals

• Learning and imbibing new skills through recreational and creative activities
• Developing Leadership qualities
• Inculcate managerial and interpersonal skills
• Learn skills of persuasion and public speech
• Gain values and worldly view

Objectives

• Facilitate students to identify and inculcate essential skills
• Ensure maximum participation of students in activities that are both challenging and enriching
• Overcome shyness and fear of losing face

Activities and Outcomes with beneficiaries

• Various competitions such as Essay Writing, Poem Writing, Debate, Just a Minute, Elocution, Poster Making, Extempore, Dumb charade etc., conducted every year.
• Every week Literary and Debating Club promotes classroom presentation under English Forum
• Special Lectures (on campus)
• Mock Presentations by First year students
