Robotics Club

About

Robotics club, started in 29th January 2010 to taps the skills of the students in the field of automation. The Robotics Club involves the student community who derive pleasure in creating robots that may even be potent to work without human intervention The club will bring together the students to build their own automation systems and tie-up with industries to provide solutions to their problems using their automation processes. It is an interdisciplinary club, with associated faculty members from various disciplines such as Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering Departments etc. The club is actively involved in carrying out research in various areas of robotics ranging from Kinematics, Dynamics and Design, Motion Planning, Intelligent Control, AI, Computer Vision, etc. The club also conducts summer training and short term courses and workshops for students, teachers and researchers.

Objective

  • The aim of the Robotics Club will be to support and foster interest in various aspects related to robotics; in particular, mechanical design.
  • To train up the students periodically in the field of robotics by providing workshops, hands on training
  • The club will cater to the interests of hobbyists and beginners in robotics, as well as of seniors who may be involved in professional design.
  • To inculcate the students to develop a real time products for the challenging problems.
  • The club will also extend support to the participants of robotics-related competitions that are held at all over the India.
  • The club will engage in an untiring work in automation processes and systems to contribute to the global automation scenario and the future of artificial intelligence.

Outcome

  • Students participated in an international level contest and won awards.
  • Students will demonstrate knowledge of robot controllers.
  • Students, faculty members and the research scholars have utilized the resources to carry out research works.
  • Students were placed in Robotics and Automation Sector.
  • Better visibility for college nationally.
