Research and Development
Department of Mechanical Engineering provides a pavement to do research work in line with it has been recognized as research centre by Anna University in the Academic Year 2015-2016. The department is architected with 6 Ph.Ds' and 16faculty members pursuing doctoral programmes. Faculty members are strengthening the department by publishing their research work in the referred journals. Research works are carried out in various fields including composites, machining, design, nanotechnology, coatings etc., As a result, handful of research papers were published in referred journals. The department also encourages the faculty to enlist their research papers in national and international conferences. The department makes the voice of the faculty to echo in the technical society by encouraging the faculty in publishing books.
